Communications Manager Reviews
What is it like working as a Communications Manager?
May 2021
There is a true sense of community in the workforce.
Communications Manager in Corpus Christi:
Pros: The people I work closely with are active in caring for the community.
Cons: Politics
May 2021
Work hard, play hard, try not to burn out.
Communications Manager in London:
Pros: London is an amazing city, and if you are early in your career it is definitely good for opportunities and networking.
Cons: Highly competitive, both professionally and outside work. You can get caught up in trying to keep up with the person next to you, so you need to keep your head on straight.
March 2021
Living the dream.
Communications Manager in Arlington:
Pros: Commutes are fairly easy, many things are in walking distance
Cons: Ongoing construction, frequent delays with buses and subway system.
January 2021
City with ideal size (not big enough and not small enough)
Communications Manager in Lisbon:
Pros: Access to a wide variety of activities, good weather (not counting with the winter), and a lot of services available
Cons: Portuguese culture has some things that I would like to see improved, like working fewer hours per week and the ability to always be on schedule. Public transportation could be better and the traffic is chaotic (the city doesn't have space for such many cars).
October 2020
Meaningful work for which you will be undercompensated.
Communications Manager in Spartanburg:
Pros: Impact on my community
Cons: Low salary and limited opportunities for advancement
September 2020
Great, plenty of opportunities.
Communications Manager in Toronto:
Pros: Plenty of chances to learn and grow and a great startup environment
Cons: Unpaid sick days and limited paid holidays
July 2020
Communications Manager in Sydney:
Pros: Transport is an excellent to agency to work for. I loved previously having a voice to make decisions prior to my current manager.
Cons: My one up manager disempowers her staff, talks about them behind their back but acts fake to their face. She has created a highly toxic environment and is under qualified for her role.
