Clinical Supervisor Reviews

What is it like working as a Clinical Supervisor?

June 2016
Expectations.
Clinical Supervisor:
Find out expectations as that is one thing I didn't know a lot of when I started but it was a new position.
December 2015
Financial difficulty, and lack of leadership.
Clinical Supervisor:
Learn to know the Agency and services. Learn to know the players and who doesn't want to move forward to change to meet the actual changes of today that are critical to survival of behavioral health Agencies. Realize that there are several areas behind the times. Develop strong relationships with your subordinates. Realize that the business end of the Agency is most important because if your not solvent you are not going to exist. Realize that Agencies need to be operated by business people, not clinical counselors who have climbed up the ranks, me included. Business people always look at the bottom line, some of your bigger Agencies look at money on a daily basis. Staff always need to do things better especially when working with clients.
