What is it like working as a Clinical Coordinator?

December 2017
Exhausting.
Clinical Coordinator in Oakland:
Pros: I have an opportunity to serve the most underserved members of my community.
Cons: Because of the desperate need for housing, affordable health, access to health, mental health services and overall social economical help it is very challenging to work in the Oakland California area.
October 2017
I work in coral ganles.
Clinical Coordinator in Hialeah:
Pros: I do not work in Hialeah
Cons: I've never worked in Hialeah
March 2017
Just right.
Clinical Coordinator in Novi:
Pros: It's a good area with a lot to do without dealing with the traffic of a big city.
Cons: There can sometimes be a lot of construction so the commute can be annoying.
May 2016
Great role, but many responsibilities.
Clinical Coordinator:
Pros: Flexibility and autonomy are great! You usually can really shape your role in order to accommodate to the staff and patient needs.
Cons: The responsibilities can be overwhelming at times since you are designed to serve in an administrative capacity.
December 2015
Leadership role.
Clinical Coordinator:
Pros: Leadership, autonomy, room for growth.
Cons: Unpaid overtime, no significant change in salary when promoted.
November 2015
Change of pace.
Clinical Coordinator:
Pros: I like that I am able to communicate with my boss in a way that is comfortable, and less stressful than my prior boss. I also love the flexibility I have with my schedule.
Cons: The floor that I work on now has a lot of issues and the stress can be overwhelming at times. The space that I was put in to work has no privacy and the floor is loud.
August 2015
Very demanding high responsibility.
Clinical Coordinator:
Pros: I love to teach nursing! It's my calling in life. I will continue to look for additional learning and certifications while continuing my employment at SMC.
Cons: We have only 3 educators for 450 nurses plus CNA and monitor techs and unit secretaries. We need more education staff.
