Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Reviews
What is it like working as a Chief Technology Officer (CTO)?
January 2017
Be as good as you can and let your employees be better.
Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in Woodinville:
The paradox of being a CTO is that you need to be very smart, and simultaneously the dumbest guy in the room. Yes, be good, and smart, and efficient and qualified; but hire folks who are smarter, better, more efficient and more qualified than you are.
January 2017
Reasonably Walkable.
Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in Redmond:
Pros: It's reasonably walkable, and I can often bike to work from home.
Cons: Parking is a pain for most employees, despite the fact that there should be enough space for good parking garages around here.
January 2017
A founder's perspective.
Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in San Diego:
Pros: Life science funding is abundant in San Diego.
Cons: I wouldn't start another company in San Diego. Not as thriving of an environment as the Bay. Less options for everyone all around.
January 2017
IT in the ATL.
Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in Atlanta:
Pros: There are plenty of job opportunities here.
Cons: Of course the traffic is awful, and there isn't enough jobs out in the burbs.
September 2016
Understanding over all Vision and Needs.
Chief Technology Officer (CTO):
When I have been successful it is when I understand the needs and perspective from each of our departments. As I have done this it helps me in making decisions on product development and priorities. It also helps me understand the needs when consulting other departments on the use of technology.
July 2016
Chief Technology Officer (CTO):
Negotiate a startup % if you can.
May 2016
Chief Technology Officer (CTO):
Be prepared for lots of long days, weekends and nights working.
