Cable Technician Reviews

What is it like working as a Cable Technician?

April 2022
Daily work is great and satisfying, but the company a whole is a woke joke.
Cable Technician in Port Huron:
Pros: I'm independent and free to solve problems to the best of my ability. I'm paid decently, and have a decent benefit package.
Cons: The company as a whole has embraced woke culture, which is very devicive and detracts from the empowerment to have independent thought. If you aren't parroting what they want to hear, you're unlikely to climb off of the bottom rung. The company also needs to do a better job at staying relevant. people are leaving traditional media behind, but our sales reps are still being encouraged to package video and internet together.
December 2021
Stress Test.
Cable Technician in Blue Springs:
Pros: My customers keep me going. Were the work not so worthwhile, I'd have left a long time ago.
Cons: Management. They micromanage to the extreme now. They tend to lump their failures on technicians more so than ever now. Management in Kansas City has formed a habit of blaming technicians for everything that goes wrong. The Kansas City Spectrum operations/management staff is dysfunctional by definition and has only gotten worse over time.
February 2021
Ok at times but work can be stressful due to the fact that you don't have the tools or equipment to work with. Also sometimes there's no communication with managers and workers.
Cable Technician in Nassau:
Pros: They trust you to do the job by yourself
Cons: The salary
November 2020
Broadband Specialist.
Cable Technician in Columbia:
Pros: Meeting new people and resolving their issues. I like troubleshooting, hard labor and the opportunity to learn something everyday.
Cons: Not enough job time, faulty equipment and pay
December 2019
Excellent.
Cable Technician in El Cajon:
Pros: Help my Team LVA Production, Teach, Train, Operation in 5S+1, morning Meetings and more
Cons: I hope and pray that I would get support from my KVA Lead man
October 2019
Awesome. Very employee friendly.
Cable Technician in Independence:
Pros: Customer Service and difficulty
Cons: Independence missouri.
May 2019
Great Opportunity to grow. You have to be willing/able to learn and adapt on the fly.
Cable Technician in Oxnard:
Pros: The satisfaction of being able to help existing customers with their services when trouble arises and the joy from setting up new customers with our services.
Cons: The way our “numbers” don’t actually reflect what kind of tech we truly are. Its a very flawed system that lowers overall morale for techs who work hard but are brought down by variables we have no control over.
