November 2019
To much responsibility for the pay.

November 2019
Bus Driver, School in Randolph:
Teamsters contract is unfair for those employees hired prior to 2016. Unequal pay and no family benefits aren’t competitive with surrounding districts. Can not hire or retain enough drivers to cover every bus route. $10+ hr difference between drivers doing the same job. Family benefits would cost the entire paycheck plus extra out of pocket, essentially making employees pay to work for free. Current employee who will be leaving due to stagnant contract negotiations and loss of optimism of ever seeing family benefits or pay increase. New job starting pay is $31 an hour with full family benefits. Very unfortunate I have to leave a district I love to work for just to make sure my family has affordable health coverage. Would consider coming back if contract was fair.
October 2019
Stressful.
Bus Driver, School in San Antonio:
Pros: get paid weekly and can work more hours
Cons: work by myself without someone looking over my shoulders
