Serving The Day To Day.
Benefits & Payroll Administrator:
Pros: The part that is most satisfying is the routine nature of my job. Knowing that it goes on and on. Knowing that the employees whom I serve trust me to get the job done correctly and on time brings me a great degree of confidence and satisfaction. I regularly hear from other employees, even managers, that they are happy that this is not their job.
Cons: While working by myself is usually a good thing, the "only-ness" of my role is stressing at times. It is difficult to plan an extended vacation without having to train someone to be able to complete various aspects of my payroll function. I have learned over the years to turn down opportunities because it doesn't fit into my payroll schedule.
