Automotive Technician Reviews
What is it like working as an Automotive Technician?

Hindsight.
Automotive Technician in Milton:
Had I known, that in this trade, it really doesn't matter if you know how to solve any problem that comes your way. It doesn't matter if you do absolutely everything right. When people get their vehicles back they only care if the repair was done correctly in a timely manor. Now the age old story of how the team is only as strong as its weakest link plays a crucial factor. Starting with yourself being able to understand each concern that each vehicle has. Being able to mentally dissect vehicle operating systems and functions of each component to correctly diagnose which component(s) are the cause to the clients concern. Lets face it, you have to be near perfect, you have to decipher concerns based on information relayed to you by the service advisor. You rely on the advisors to extract as much information from the clients, just so you can do your job to its fullest. The parts guys have to order you the correct part and get them to you in a timely manor. I've maxed out the allowed space.
