Associate Editor Reviews

What is it like working as an Associate Editor?

February 2017
Melting cultures, big city life.
Associate Editor in Mumbai:
Pros: The city is great and there are many things to discover. It's bustling and there are lots of things to do.
Cons: It's chaotic, the commute is painful and the real estate and rent is extremely expensive. My work takes up (including commute) about 12 hours of my day and the remaining time I get, I feel too tired to enjoy the city.
November 2015
Hard working.
Associate Editor:
Pros: As Associate Editor of National Journal LIVE, I help produce the magazine's events. That means I conceptualize and write about the policy topics we discuss at the range of National Journal's different events, speaker book, and help the journalists leading our conversations with preparation and research based on our event topics and the speakers participating in them. I enjoy working in media and close to the politics/policy world, liasoning with government offices and writing about and for our events.
Cons: I dislike the long hours associated with my position.
September 2015
Great Environment.
Associate Editor:
Pros: Work flexibility, creative, supportive, female environment.
Cons: Undefined responsibilities, lack of opportunities to grow.
