Associate Attorney (Law Firm) Reviews
What is it like working as an Associate Attorney (Law Firm)?
June 2019
Dismal.
Associate Attorney (Law Firm) in Portland:
Pros: Associates are great coworkers.
Cons: Name partners are terrible people. Payment is mediocre. The whole office is a joke.
December 2018
Associate Attorney (Law Firm):
This is not a meritocracy, despite the firm’s best efforts to portray itself as such. You are promoted or given bonuses mostly based on who you snuggle-up with, and what your diversity status is. You can be a top perfomer and still be snubbed from a bonus or promotion because you didn’t pander to the right partner (depending on how much power that partner has).
November 2016
Associate Attorney (Law Firm):
Pros: Challenging with growth opportunities.
Good team.
Cons: Work life balance vs remuneration disconnect.
Lack of formal corporate culture.
October 2016
Cool job.
Associate Attorney (Law Firm):
Pros: International work, comfortable work space, career opportunities.
Cons: Sometimes too long working hours.
