Pros: I love working in the underserved community, I feel it is important to have medical personnel that resemble the population they provide care to, as it breaks down barriers and allows individuals to feel comfortable and heard.
Cons: There are not enough nurses in the underserved community, forcing a strain on the nurses who are here and a hindrance of the nursing shortage is the low pay.
