Library Outreach v. Bookmobile Service.
Assistant Librarian in Wheeling:
Library Outreach Services are a difficult to define field as it is a service that is highly in touch with the specific needs of the community, and there are not many outreach library programs throughout the country. Therefore it is difficult to nail down an appropriate salary. However, it is much more than a bookmobile service. It is both highly specialized and broad in scope. The position requires excellent customer service, great organization, solid on-line and in-person networking abilities, and capabilities across several library departments.
Library Outreach is a Department unto itself and pay should be equal to any other department head.
