Working Abroad is a Challenge.
Architect (but not Landscape or Naval) in Riyadh:
Pros: Having adjustment especially to their culture is good for the experience. The fear of entering a strange environment is an achievement for me. I've had opportunities to utilize my skills and prove my potential in my field.
Cons: The downside of working in a Muslim country is that you cannot fully enjoy the life you had. I missed a lot the freedom I've had in my own country. Especially having a lot of friends no matter whats the gender or races.

Adequate Salary Compensation.
Architect (but not Landscape or Naval):
Always know your worth and ask to be adequately compensated. What you know as far as skills doesn't necessarily mean everyone knows or has those skills. Go after living a balanced life between work, love, friends, hobbies and always give time to dream and re-evaluate where you want to go. There is always a future, plan for it. And above all, do what makes you happy and jazzed to be alive!
November 2016
Long Road Ahead.
Architect (but not Landscape or Naval):
This career requires you to start out doing things that school didn't prepare you for, namely drafting at a computer most every day for years. This is likely not why you chose architecture. Understand that this is a price you must pay to advance in the industry. Find good mentors, people that are 10 or more years ahead of you that can help you navigate your career.
August 2016
Architect (but not Landscape or Naval):
Pros: Dynamic. Collaborative. Varied work. Fast paced. Change. Sense of impact/importance. Opportunity to learn.
Cons: Stress.
