Applications Programmer Reviews

What is it like working as an Applications Programmer?

August 2022
I feel that I do not have many opportunities to work for this area so employers are taking average on us.
Applications Programmer in Bacau:
Pros: I don’t know
Cons: I don’t know
October 2021
Love my job and position. Hate the Orginization of the Company.
Applications Programmer in Dayton:
Pros: Trusted to get my work done without micromanagement. If something is wrong at home or there's a minor emergency that needs taken care of outside of work, my manager lets me leave and take care of it without hassle.
Cons: The gap between management and the "workhorse" employees on the floor is unreal. There's virtually no communication. Higher ups and engineers that should be on the floor monitoring machines running when there's issues are nonexistant. Selects pay/wages/benefits etc. are insufficient and not remotely competitive. A CNC or Press Operator with 5 years of experience that can demonstrate proficiency at that job can expect to start at around 18$ hr. Maybe 20$ if after a year with good attendance, you don't scrap half of the parts you run, and work 6-7 days a week whether you want to or not. They don't match 401k, they don't give sick leave. You must use your personal vacation time if you're sick. Management can't manage. Managers hire managers to manage. Some of those managers don't have the skill to manage a hand of Uno.

Good place to work and live.
Applications Programmer in Warsaw:
Pros: There are many companies you can choose from.
Cons: Cost of accommodation.
October 2019
Jack of all trades.
Applications Programmer in Branchville:
Pros: Flexible work schedule
Cons: Under appreciated
December 2018
Applications Programmer:
Projects are straightforward and people are easy to work with, but the salaries are low. Management makes clear requests and can be reached for further questions if needed. Good health benefits, as well as 401k and tuition benefits.
