Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN):
I enjoy working @ Sumner County Hospital District #1. We have an awesome staff & work as a great team. We have an awesome nursing staff and a great collaboborating physician. We provide awesome care & I wouldn’t hesitate to be a pt @ my workplace (which hasn’t been the case with some of my other jobs). Though we have good health insurance and state employee retirement plan, the pay isn’t competitive & pays <5% than all other NP’s in KS. I have worked hard to get our pay increased to no avail, which is disheartening considering the amount of call we take at one time-108hr stretches, sometimes more.
