U.S. Army Reviews

What is it like working at U.S. Army?

Cutting Edge.
Intelligence Officer:
Pros: It is a dynamic work environment that is constantly changing.
Cons: Progression is lock step that does not reflect the abilities of the individual.
Leader.
Army Staff Sergeant, Infantry (Light Infantry):
Pros: Lead and train soldiers to be proficient and competent. Mentor them everyday on how to be a good leader in every situation possible.
Army Operations Manager.
Operations Manager:
Pros: I am able to contribute to the decision making process of what my battalion does on a daily basis. I also advise the commander on what is or can be more effective. My view point is valued and changes are made on a regular basis to improve productivity and the welfare of the Soldiers in our organization.
Cons: Nothing.
Logistics Management.
Logistics Specialist:
Pros: The organization itself and the "will get it done" attitudes. Failure is not an option.
Cons: The rank structure. Waiting on "open slots" to get promoted no matter what your knowledge is base on. The wait is long and outdrawn, it breaks down the morale because you work so hard to advance.
Great Responsibility With taking Self Initiative.
Logistics Management Specialist:
Pros: All the knowledge you need is in regulations, you only need to search and read. There is no guessing when making decisions. The family atmosphere allows for each to share the burden of others, Knowing that a single employee can change the outcome of million dollar projects. The self worth.
Cons: Complex amount of different tasks to accomplish mission. Must be able to multi task at all times. Required mandatory training repeated each year. Longer hours than most want to put in. The mission doesn't end at the strike a 5pm the job is a way of life where you must commit your free time as well as your on the job time.
