Tyson Foods, Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at Tyson Foods, Inc.?

Tyson is a great place to work.
Machinery Maintenance Mechanic in Blountsville:
Pros: I like that Im trusted and I've been able to learn more about my profession.
Cons: That you are not given a higher job if you are better qualified for the job. They give it to someone with more years with the company.
Project Manager, Information Technology (IT):
Lately, the IT organization has gotten more challenging to work for. Under new IT leadership, I appreciate the higher bar being placed for excellence, but little is done to help you actually achieve anything. Strategic leadership has been good at broad vision, but has not helped bring clarity to the culture and the teams that are supposed to help make this happen. Overall, a feeling of disorganized and chaotic change, and hoping this settles into clear direction and actual empowerment.
Gratifying.
Safety Manager in Newbern:
Pros: Ability to keep people safe.
Cons: Everything you do and say is questioned. Upper Management likes to point fingers blame others.
Family type environment.
Production Supervisor in Columbus:
Pros: Succeeding as a Team, teamwork, safety is first, meeting goals, acknowledging team members who is going over and beyond with rewards ,reducing turnover , satisfying customers. Reducing cost, and promoting a d encourage my team to believe in themselves.
Cons: Pay rate
I love driving and Tyson provides ample opportunity.
Truck Driver, Heavy / Tractor-Trailer:
Pros: 1) Dedicated runs. 2) Above average pay. 3) Professional management staff.
Cons: Heavy work load due to driver turnover.
Maintenance Technician:
Pros: Overtime.
Cons: Pay rate and ways of pay increase.
