Staples, Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at Staples, Inc.?

Regional Sales Director in Chicago:
Had a nine year career here, starting after college and succeeding in five different roles, including leadership. They don't pay well at all, especially if you've been with the company a long time (counterintuitively). One year in they got rid of stock options. Company went private due to mismanagement. No annual merit increase in the last three years and when you get a promotion, they always know your number so your increase is the bare minimum. You'd get paid more coming in externally for the same role which shows how little they actually value experience, performance in role, and loyalty. Not a career company by any means, but there is plenty to learn for anyone who needs a job.
Stressful.
Territory Account Manager in Louisville:
Pros: Love working in a b2b ole, interacting with customers
Cons: Compensation model changes several times a year
Underpaid.
Computer Technician in South San Francisco:
Cons: Severely Underpaid. Management overuses the word "teamwork" to motivate people to perform tasks not related to the role.
Current Situation.
