What is it like working at Stantec Consulting Ltd.?

Need to provide more internal training for existing employees (outside of health and safety), rather than hire new employees.
Biologist in Montréal:
Pros: Flexibility
Cons: Focused on project completion rather than the development of employees career path.
Civil Engineering Technologist:
Great people to work with in general. Company itself needs to value their employees a little more. Benefits with company an asset to this job. Management is great and really goes above and beyond to teach and provide learning opportunities for their staff.
Underappreciated.
Civil Engineer in Boston:
Pros: The people in general are great. Nice young office in Boston with plenty of gatherings, and after work activities (company softball team!). Generally feel we are provided with adequate computers and plotters and modern office space. Free coffee is always available. Vast projects that allow you to try and see new things. Flexible office policies. Wifi available to permit no-work internet access for things like internet radio. Dress is generally business casual but is loosely enforced. Jeans and sneakers make appearances many days during the week. Fair expense policies to compensate for expenses accrued due to work.
Cons: Our group in particular is regularly subjected to shift changes where we are expected to go from working days (~8am-5pm) to an overnight shift (~10am-6am) with occasionally less than a days notice to oversee construction or do investigative work. Some projects have us altering our schedules for 45 straight days (weekends and holidays) and sometimes people end up stuck on an overnight shift and are expected to completely remove any work/home balance to support the work. The salaries of the the city employees compared to the rural employees is incorrect with the city employees making significantly less than average salary for the given city. Upper management keeps the best work for employees local to them, not for the ones who have to construct the project. Stress levels are high due to direct client/contractor interactions with a junior title. Work can be flexible when in the office but flexibility is non existent during field work, often meaning canceled plans outside of work hours.
Advice.
Electrical Engineer:
Pros: Work hard. Demand for the raise you deserve. No regrets. Don't let upper management stunt your growth.
Cons: Upper management was poorly organized. Pyramid scheme. No room for growth. Company has bad reputation with clients. Loss of work. No employee retention. High employee turnover rates. Voice is never heard when there are concerns. Human resource issues.
Pros/cons.
Electrical Engineer:
Pros: The people. The benefits and the events.
Cons: How raises are handled and how they pay less than other big competitor companies. Or how they don't really care or reward employees accomplishments. No gratification, or motivation.
