McKesson Corp. Reviews

What is it like working at McKesson Corp.?

Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer in Atlanta:
I worked in the Atlanta office, and they have the "good ol boy" mentality. The director only had a high school diploma and it was painful working for a someone who didn't know of updated technologies and processes, nor the understanding of issues because he was only promoted because he was there 30 years. This place does not reward experience, just be there for years on end and education means nothing to this place.
Corporate Culture Nightmare.
Product Owner in Irving:
Pros: Good benefits, decent salary.
Cons: Corporate Culture dysfunctional due in large part to dysfunctional leadership. No ability to manage talent. Senior leadership is made up of primarily white men. Very old minded, no innovation or corporate support thereof.
Sr. Software Engineer / Developer / Programmer in King of Prussia:
Not that great a work environment. Everyone not in the office at least 60% of the time does not get a space and is expected to work from home. Process issues take up the majority of the day. Little effort is actually put into improving things.
It is interesting and I feel supported.
Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) in Wilmington:
Pros: I am always learning and encouraged to do so.
Cons: Pay and HR processes are confusing.
Challenging yet rewarding.
Sr. Software Engineer / Developer / Programmer in Atlanta:
Pros: The software I write makes other people's lives easy and efficient.
Cons: We were a startup sold to McK, the higher ups destroyed all the startup culture.
Senior Corporate Paralegal:
Rewarding company to work for because it is a pharmaceutical healthcare technology company. The projects you work on do make a huge impact on the performance and bottom line of the company and most importantly the healthcare industry. The type of projects that’ll move the needle after a project has closed. Although it is a top performing Fortune 5 company, the pay is base level and not competitive to the market location. However, it’s a great place to pick up big multi-national corporate experience from a public company. There's never a shortage of projects to work on.
Stressful.
Operations Supervisor:
Pros: The job has history.
Cons: Management lack of communication.
