Systemic gender discrimination in a club of "good ole boys"
Talent Acquisition Specialist in Jacksonville, North Carolina:
Pros: Lots of opportunities for training and development.
Cons: MCCS Okinawa is an organization controlled by a handful of retired Marines. There is no accountability within this organization. The executives are focused on hiring their friends for high level positions. There is a clear wage gap between men and women in MCCS and it has never been addressed. The GS Scale allows for advancement and raises. MCCS locks employees into low hourly wages. There is no clear system when it comes to wages. MCCS has not adopted the GS pay system because they want the ability to offer their retired, white male friends whatever wage they want. Women with master's degrees are being paid $10 an hour while men with no degrees are making six figures. If the mission of MCCS is to support Marines and their families, they are failing. Monopolizing on the desperation of military spouses is not supportive. MCCS is a systemically flawed organization that serves the community of 60 year old, underqualified Caucasian males.
