J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc.?

Freight Handling.
Accounts Receivable Specialist in Springdale:
Pros: The team is pretty good, everyone's chill and helpful (everyone except my manager)
Cons: My manager's really uptight, has me work through lunch sometimes and has performance reviews when I'm on lunch as well.
Operations Manager in Fort Worth:
Pros: Opportunity to learn
Cons: Stress, pay for the amount of work
Ok needs work.
Heavy / Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver in Dallas:
Pros: home every night
Cons: they dictate my lively hood
Pretty great.
Associate Software Engineer in Bentonville:
Pros: New challenges every day, a lot of leeway in how to solve them.
Cons: Working with older technologies.
Logistics Engineer:
First the bad: I get constant bad communication, and I was baited and switched on compensation when I was hired, and the hiring process was also extremely disorganized. People are seldom fired or demoted, and that includes ones who need to be. Your membership in certain social circles (churches, country clubs, etc.) will matter for your career trajectory. Now the good: the working environment is fairly relaxed. The company's go-to-market strategy in the digital realm is the right one. The sky is the limit for this company if it can get its act together and get out into market with the right strategies.
Intermodal Truck Driver:
Pros: Flexible schedule, they are willing to work with you. Management is not bad. Most customers are regulars. Pay meets/comes close to the industry average. Cons: Extremely tight backing at yard. One way in one way out (train blocks you at least twice a day, very frustrating At times). Slow pay At times for weeks. Truck parking is tight. Yard visibility at night is bad. Overly crowded yard with very limit space to Maneuver. Closed mouth doesn’t get feed (aka if you don’t ask for more work you won’t get it).
Great start for experience.
Operations Supervisor in Ontario:
Pros: Learn a a lot about an individual business and gain experience in management and operations.
Cons: Work-life balance. Some politics in the office and company as a whole
