What is it like working at Great Clips, Inc.?
I love being a part of the team, but the rules change often.
Cosmetologist:
Pros: All the people I meet.
Cons: Management.
Tips are better than hourly pay.
Hair Stylist:
Pros: Interaction with new customers daily.
Cons: They never give you a raise. I'm getting paid the same amount I was 8 years ago.
Under paid.
Stylist:
Pros: Tip are good sometimes.
Cons: Everthing else, I got into this business to me more for my family and better out situation but instead got a new bill in the form of a student loan.
Salon Manager:
Pros: Flexibility, diversity in job duties, advanced education opportunities.
Cons: High pressure/stress. Inconsistency with operational expectations, political.
Great Coworkers.
Hair Stylist:
Pros: I work with talented and trendy stylists. We are like a family.
Cons: I don't feel that the pay is good enough for the customer service we have to maintain. Clients can be rude!
Cosmetologist:
Pros: I get a lot of bonuses and I usually get good tips.
Cons: I don't get paid enough, my general manager treats the management with no respect and she makes us feel worthless. I have to deal with rude customers and people who don't tip, have awful hair or smell terrible.
Salon Manager:
Pros: Growth opportunities! Ressasion proof, job security.Customers!
Cons: Balancing time between manager and stylist. Stress level.
