Firestone Complete Auto Care Reviews

What is it like working at Firestone Complete Auto Care?

Great place to work.
Automobile Service Advisor:
Pros: Work independent / follow through / strange diagnostics.
Cons: High stress . Long hours.
Senior technician.
Automotive Service Technician:
Pros: The identifix program helps find solutions to common problems. Certain Co workers are great teammates. Knowledge is shared from older technicians .
Cons: Very hard to get a raise even though they push productivity consistently. They do not want to pay double minimum wage for providing your own tools for work yet they do not provide all the tools needed. Managers deliberately change the time punches to avoid meal times after fifth hour and often change the overtime actually worked to lower cost and budget on their end . Alot of over time has been lost due to these altered punches which can only be done by managers.
Firestone.
Automotive Technician:
Pros: I like working at Firestone, you're an employee, but more like family. They pay for you to learn more, be the best you can be. They are international known for great work and great tires. If you do not choose to stay with this company, it will always be a great stepping stone on your resume.
Maintenance work and basic engine repair.
Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic:
Pros: Consistant paychecks, good benefits, good work load.
Cons: Lazy coworkers, untrained manager, lack of shop tools and safety equipment.
Under appreciated.
Service Manager Automotive:
Pros: Diagnosing and repairing vehicles. Job stability.
Cons: Stores are continually grossly understaffed. Sales quota's are redicullassly high, which cuts into ability to properly service customer, so it always feels like we are trying to sell something. Upper management has a horrible disconnect from employees working in the field, and they don't seem to understand what we really do.
Sucks.
Automotive Technician:
Pros: I wish I could say but not much to say.
Cons: Like I said not a lot to say about this place.
Firestone.
Automotive Technician:
Pros: Training and good people.
Cons: You work every weekend and have no life.
