What is it like working at Fastenal Company?
A waste of my energy and worth.

General Manager in Hayward:
Pros: Serving and managing customers and innovating sales processes.

Not too bad.
Sales Associate in Ogden:
Pros: It is a good team oriented company. The job itself is not too difficult and can be very enjoyable and satisfying
Cons: The pay and benefits are terrible
Sales Support Associate in Catoosa:
I would work again for this company given it was the right situation. This company provides employees several different ways to provide service to its customers. Fastenal is an average place to because the pay is low with no raises and they are working to reduce the age of their work force. Opportunities for 40-60 aged workers are limited to a few full time positions and mainly part time positions for this age group. Store managers need training in employee conflict resolution especially the young inexperienced managers. District managers who handle all the hiring, promotions & dismissing of employees need to learn not to play god with people's financial lives & keep their word concerning discussed possibilities made during an interview process. I hope the best for this company.
Tough job but plenty of opportunities to go up with it. Something new every day.
Floor Supervisor in Edwardsville:
Pros: Opportunities, people, company growth.
Cons: Politics, also a tendency put in no win situation.
It's flexible and allows me to set my own hours. I have a very important ecommerce customer that I need to be available most hours of the day. My job with Fastenal allows me that flexibility.
Key National Account Manager in Seattle:
Pros: The people I work with. I have a great team. We work hard, but we make sure we are enjoying what we do at the same time.
Cons: Its a frugal company and I always feel underpaid. I bring in a lot of revenue at a very substantial margin, yet I don't feel I being compensated for it.
