Great company, not so great team.
Information Technology Specialist in San Francisco, California:
Pros: I love the mission and where the company is headed. I feel that the technology being developed is top-notch and will change the way we see public transportation today.
Cons: My team and my manager. Management has made sub-par hires and it affects the rest of the team. We end up having to pick up on their slack and carry them, but they never actually learn. We are told to give feedback, but our constant feedback to the junior-level techs never go anywhere and management doesn’t do anything to help them improve. Management has let go of great techs. My manager does not make me feel appreciated and disregards the things I’ve accomplished in the 3 years I’ve worked there, so I have not had any opportunity to move up the IT career ladder.
Great team, OK management.
Information Technology Specialist in San Francisco, California:
Pros: I love the team and the opportunities to learn a lot.
Cons: Management says they try to be transparent, yet there is an obvious lack of transparency. Promotions are only done during the winter cycle, so that makes it unfair for us who start working mid-year. Our promotion is no longer based on our 1-year.
