Average Salary for Border States Electric Employees

Pros: Working hours for me are 7:30 am-4:30 pm M-F. No weekends, no nights, and they do not make you hang around and work after closing time. People are out the door pretty quick most days.

Cons: The ESOP is great, but no one can touch theirs until they leave the company or retire, and it is not an option to ditch it for higher regular wages. Merit-based raises are the norm, but they are only 3% of income. I make less than $17/hr, which translates to a raise of about 50cents, nowhere near the cost of living increase in Utah. The longer I work here, the less my wages cover living expenses. Not so for the higher-ups, it seems. According to Comparably, more than half of all Border States employees make more than $95K annually. How about sharing some of that with the workers in the trenches? People who leave this company are looking for more money in their paychecks so we can feed our families and keep a roof over their heads.
