Banfield, The Pet Hospital Reviews

What is it like working at Banfield, The Pet Hospital?

Veterinary Assistant:
My work schedule is different every week. I start work at a different time every day. I never have the same days off. I hardly ever leave work on time. Most days I'm almost 2 hours late. Pay is low. Co workers are always calling out sick and showing up late. Stressful toxic environment at times.
Over priced.
Client Service Coordinator in Virginia Beach:
Can only do but so much - unless you're having an annual visit done, they don't cover you.
Its great.
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT):
Pros: I love working with animals.
Cons: The people.
Corporate.
Veterinarian:
Pros: Wellness plans.
Cons: Current pay structure.
Great to learn not to stay.
Veterinary Assistant:
Pros: The digital records are user friendly and make everything easy to find. The labs are done in house so you get that experience. There is a focus on preventive care and wellness plans to encourage compliance.
Cons: Long hours, miss lunches and breaks often. Open seven days a week, so you work weekends and hollidays. The staff is not properly trained and often do not have medical backgrounds. This puts the burden on the DVM to baby-sit the staff. There is a huge focus on sales and less on quality medicine.
