Wood Group Reviews
What is it like working at Wood Group?
Hard work but good work life balance.
Cost Controller in Abu Dhabi:
Pros: I enjoy the challenge of trying to perform to a high level for a difficult client.
Cons: Our home-built software is currently making work more difficult than it used to be. However, this will improve with time. The team who built the software are doing a great job but progress is fairly slow.
Senior Environmental Scientist:
Pros: Depending on the department, generally a great place to work with flexible working hours and relaxed atmosphere. Cons: No clear defined path for career progression nor reward for hard work. Be prepared to take time off without pay or use up leave time during slow periods.
I enjoy the work. Do not believe I'm fairly compensated.
Senior Construction Manager in St. Louis:
Pros: Not micromanaged
Cons: Salary
I enjoy the work. Do not believe I'm fairly compensated.
Senior Construction Manager in St. Louis:
Pros: Freedom to perform work tasks without being micromanaged.
Cons: Salary.
Senior Project Manager, Engineering:
The company is severely lacking leadership and organization, which has created extreme discontent and a lack of loyalty amongst many employees. Some good employees were let go to save money. IT has been outsourced to India resulting in such a lack of support, they cause more problems than they solve and it can take weeks to get a five minute fix corrected. Other employees are leaving as soon as they get another opportunity. Few people in corporate support roles remain with any knowledge of how things work making it even more difficult to get results.
