Honeywell Aerospace Reviews

What is it like working at Honeywell Aerospace?

Principal Mechanical Engineer in Los Angeles:
Benefits reduced in past few years. Benefits not at all competitive with other aerospace companies. Young engineers are leaving within first five years, after working and getting trained. They are leaving for Boeing, Northrop, Raytheon for better balance between work and life, better working conditions, benefits.
Product Design Engineer in Phoenix:
This company pays below market level for Senior and Principal Engineers while expecting Project Engineering Support along with direct engineering support. There is an inadequate number of projects to keep one fully engaged while senior management expects high yields exceeding 48 hours/week with no overtime. Those who most benefit are tier 3 and higher managers. I would recommend avoiding for profit and working for a good nonprofit company that recognizes and rewards results.
Technical Support Specialist in Phoenix:
Honeywell appears to be for itself not its employees. E.g. Unlimited vacation is a farce. Also holding our matching 401k money until Dec. 15 to reward our loyalty is bull! We recently had a 4 hour softball game and picnic, but had to make up the 4 hours with working.
Easy work but not enough pay for critical job being performed.
Test Technician in rockymount:
Pros: Commute only 10 mins
Cons: Pay and management
Demanding.
Quality Assurance (QA) Technician in Greenville:
Pros: the importance of airplane quality
Cons: the way some people think about quality
A day and a life at Honeywell Aerospace.
Electrical Engineer in Phoenix:
Pros: The work assignments are very interesting and fulfilling
Cons: If difficult personalities are high performers, nothing is done to discipline their bad behavior no matter what PERIOD.
Mechanical Engineer in Torrance:
Pros: THe ability to have various jobs and responsibilties.
Cons: Continual reduction in benefits and pool raises at about 2% for the past 5 years.
