Amazon.com Inc Reviews

What is it like working at Amazon.com Inc?

An amazing place to work.
Software Development Engineer (SDE) in Madrid:
Pros: The learning opportunity, Carrer growth and working with so many intelligent people.
Cons: The complexity of promotions and the lack of snacks
Unorganized and lack of care.
Laborer in Murfreesboro:
Pros: The people I work with.
Cons: The entire process is unorganized with a lack of a standard operations while ridiculous and un needed rule are created every day that has no benefit to anyone while much needed rules are not created that could easily increase productivity, safety, and profits. The main problem in my facility is that the people who are making the decisions to "fix" problems on the production floor actually have no idea what works best in reality and not just on paper because they do not observe the way things currently are on the floor.
It's very challenging.
Senior Financial Analyst in Makati City:
Pros: You learn every day something new. Each day is very different
Cons: Some aspect of it are very repetitive
First Impressions.
Warehouse Associate in Denton:
Pros: I just finished training at Amazon. I work in one of the AMXL facilities. Overall, it has been a very positive experience. I would recommend this job to anyone who could work the hours and handle the physical labor.
Cons: I feel more like a number than a employee sometimes but that isn't entirely a bad thing.
Work (too) Hard. Have Fun (at home if you can). Make History (not your history, no one will remember you or your contributions)
Customer Service Specialist in Johannesburg:
Pros: Getting my consistent and relatively secure (in these times) paycheck.
Cons: Working. There is no "Have Fun", "Work Hard" and "Make History [for Jeff obviously, you're just a nameless employee]"
Warehouse Associate in Salt Lake City:
Pros: Working at Amazon has been a good experience. I just wish that if you are someone that works extra hard you didn’t get overlooked because you handle things on your own and also wish there was a way to earn a raise for working hard instead of always making the same as people who don’t care about their job. Make you feel like, why care? I’m just paid the same as the guy that has a lazy attitude. Also, I hate the favoritism that happens. You can be a hard worker but that does not matter in a promotion.
Cons: I hate the PA interview process. It’s not fair the things it’s based on and I hate that we don’t get any set days off in the year that the company give you as a thank you without using your time.
Operationally Analytical and Demanding.
Procurement Specialist in Tucson:
Pros: Fast Paced environment ALWAYS
Cons: The volume of work can often seem overwhelming
