Lockheed Martin Corp Reviews

What is it like working at Lockheed Martin Corp?

Engaging and educational.
Senior Systems Engineer (Computer Networking / IT) in Atlanta:
Pros: great interpersonal relationships and easy to work with personnel
Cons: Internal hiring and raises are not worthy of staying at lockheed.
Rewarding, exciting, but...
Mechanical Designer in Denver:
Pros: Type of work.
Cons: Pay is lower than some other companies for my experience level.
Associate Software Engineer:
Casual dress code. Okay cafeteria. Poorly ventilated bathrooms. Incredibly thin toilet paper. Dirty chairs/keyboards. Awesome coworkers. Managers that practice favoritism. Very high schedule flexibility. Mediocre pay. Friendlier than anticipated.
Dtiff.
Aerospace Systems Engineer in Fort Worth:
Pros: F-35 is fun to work on
Cons: Miles of Red tape
Solid place to work and start out.
Associate Software Engineer in Herndon:
Pros: * Good job security, have you seen the defense budget? * Name recognition * Very low stress * Work on an interesting and fulfilling program that's highly used.
Cons: * Bad cultural fit for young people, very old school style company. * Unnecessary red tape * Obsession over position org charts and titles.
Great Place to Retire.
Project Manager, Operations:
Pros: Only work 40 hours per week, lots of time off, and great benefits. This is the perfect place to work into retirement. A good 50% of the workforce uses LMC as their steady secondary income source for benefits.
Cons: No expectations as long as you stick to the status quo. If you're fine with working for the man and taking forever to accomplish nothing this is the perfect place for you. All of this applies if you find yourself in the average population. You might actually get beneficial work if you find yourself clubbing with the top 10% of socialites who run the place.
Management and Work Flexibility.
Financial Analyst:
Pros: I like the flexibility and breadth of work that I'm able to participate in. My job is never the same 2 days in a row and that keeps duties fresh. I also enjoy the trust and confidence that management has put in me to determine what the best way to accomplish something is and get it done. I am in charge of a student intern and this has also helped me work on my leadership skills with low risk.
Cons: I do not enjoy the administrative portion when having to do performance review write ups and annual training refresher courses.
