What is it like working at Amazon.com Inc?
Transportation Specialist:
The company is a joke. They will require you get a cdl but refuse to pay cdl wages. They used to offer stocks but now they are gone. Your best bet is to join them and take the cdl training they offer and then go get real wages from even the worst trucking company.
Great part time job.
Warehouse Associate in Crest Hill:
Pros: Laid back, flexibility, people.
Cons: Lack of communication from associates, operations, Process assistant, and other departments. No sick days
Technical Account Manager:
After working here for over a year I believe Amazon/AWS is the best company to work for in Boston area if you are in alignment with its culture (which I am).
Due to high hiring standards pretty much everyone you meet will be awesome - from both technical knowledge and leadership qualities perspective.Work/life balance is reasonable - much better than in many places, and it is a lot more fun to work here then I had at a certain other company with 3-letter acronym that has been around for a long time and used to make tabulating machines.
Excellent co-workers and smart bosses make working here an enjoyable and memorable experience. Yes, you need to work hard to produce results for your customers, and customers appreciate that. And you need to learn new stuff all the time. If you do not like to work hard and learn things - Amazon is probably not the best place for you.
To anyone considering applying here, I recommend to review our leadership principles as these are used in your day to day work, and see if you like them, and if you do - certainly consider joining us.
Software Development Engineer (SDE):
I am having great time here. Very challenging and innovative environment. Easy to find opportunities that interest you and easy to relocate to place and role you like. Management is supportive. But it is a bit ruthless environment in the aspects that they defund projects even after they put lot of investment if they think it is not giving them enough return. But they are willing to experiment.

Customer Service Representative (CSR):
It was overall a horrible company to work for. The only perk was working from home. There was no room to go unless I changed positions. The supervisors are constantly changing so they never get to know their employees. Most of the customers are rude so it was truly a stressful job. When I was there the pay was so low on top of all that stress.
Fast-paced churn and burn culture.
Financial Analyst in Seattle:
Pros: Learn a ton as a finance analyst. Be prepared to get your hands dirty with SQL and other "business analyst" type responsibilities. Have a crazy amount of ownership. (Almost) everyone you work with is smart.
Cons: It's impressive if you make it past a year as a finance analyst at Amazon. Most people that make it past a year at the company move on to roles outside of finance. Management can totally make or break the job. Be prepared to work 50-60 hours regularly in the "slow season" and 70 hours when things pick up. Compensation is tied up in RSUs so there's a good chance you'll be underpaid seeing as most people never see their stocks vest due to the high turnover rate. People really do cry at their desks. Unrelenting stress and deadlines.
