When the going is great; the benefits system, salaries and the general vibe are all positive. All that positivity is a lie; they’ll be spamming you with corporate emails saying how great GE are while simultaneously failing to plan or execute any form of long term strategy. Make it up as you go along and chop jobs at the first sign of a market change closing whole businesses after taking them over.
Quick shareholder cash or bye bye. You’re just another number, literally on your first day you’re issued a 9 digit number and it’s used for everything. Functionally that’s great, but the company feels like you don’t matter. And you don’t. At all.
