Warehouse Associate in Cleveland:
Three weeks and counting...Truly, I would like to give Amazon five stars, but have not been here long enough to understand any bugs in the system, so I am being conservative and will add another review when I have more tenure. So far, I think management is making every effort for a positive launch at this site. It's a new facility, so there are obviously technical and mechanical issues. Overall, management is seemingly quite engaged in trying to engender employee morale and buy-in, facilitate positive change, employee productivity and job satisfaction, and there are always opportunities to give feedback. I've worked in other Kaizen/Lean warehouse environments, and this seems (so far) like a pretty positive situation. Yes, it is sometimes tedious work; yes, it can be warm (rarely more than 75 degrees so far); and certainly, there is potential for safety issues and RSIs. But there are many policies in place and efforts by management to avoid/deter all these concerns. So far I am impressed, and proud to be an Amazonian.
New learnings everyday.
