What is it like working at U.S. Air Force (USAF)?

Great.
Metrology Calibration Technician in Tucson:
Pros: Travel, opportunities, benefits
Cons: None
Good work. Poor management.
Avionics Technician in Alamogordo:
Pros: Benefits
Cons: Poor management
I learned what to expect out of a decent job under a bad employer.
Aircraft Mechanic / Service Technician in Meridian:
Pros: I was trained in a skill set that is in high demand in the private market.
Cons: Being overworked in harsh environments for the same pay as those underworked in comfortable environments made my job unsatisfying.
The job is stressful, 12+ hour long days or nights, on call 24/7. The job I have is not using the skills I have acquired or what the military has trained me for.
Emergency Manager in Colorado Springs:
Pros: the benefits
Cons: the pay and the possibility of leaving my family as soon as I get a call
It’s has it’s challenges.
Food and Beverage Director in Spokane:
Pros: Mentoring the airman and getting the chance to serve out in the community.
Cons: The constant changes, they need to give things(people, programs) a chance to work be they make a quick change.
It's a great experience. I truly enjoy it.
Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) in Fairview Heights:
Pros: Being able to travel and Gain new experiences.
Cons: The pay and being away from loved ones.
I loved it. I was the postmaster for Andersen AFB for 3 years.
Postmaster in Fort Walton Beach:
Pros: Customers are always priority, I love interacting with them all
Cons: I’ve only had a few situations where I had toxic leadership that had a cloud over the office. Dislike and refuse to follow that
