Wal-Mart Stores, Inc Reviews
What is it like working at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc?
Tedious, asinine, I bet it is like the Military but without guns.
Sales Associate in Pueblo West:
Pros: The people I work with
The scenery (i.e the eye candy)
The decent customers
Cons: The people im forced to work with
The horrible eye candy.
The not so decent customers.
Not enough staff to effectively operate smoothly. Morale is low. Employees feel they are not appreciated for the work they do.
Sales Associate in San Antonio:
Pros: I love my customers the most.
Cons: Lack of appreciation, work load is doubled & tripled due to staffing shortage.
Stressful.
Asset Protection Associate in Belleville:
Pros: I like making apprehensions and working with other associates to stop shoplifting.
Cons: The management teams dont have good communication and it seems like management is always fighting between each other
It's a good place to work.
Cashier in Killeen:
Pros: The thing I like the most about working at Wal-Mart is most of the employees are nice to work with
Cons: The thing I like least is having to call sedgwick when ever you are sick or late for work
Stressful being that there is only one baker for whole store.
Baker in Hagerstown:
Pros: People I work with and customers
Cons: The pay to be there for 16 years and having someone come in to make 15 is really undermining my worth . I know when you set the 15 an hour to keep employees. The way I think of it is why give the people who been with the company for 10 , 15 ,20 year a extra dollar an hour . The reason being is why give money to keep them they have proved that they are loyal to be there so long. It’s like throwing money away to employees that have no interest of leaving the company.
Its not as good as you think.
Cashier in Jenks:
Pros: The store gives you a discount card after three months of working there, which is always nice when you are parenting and need help with groceries.
Cons: Management here sucks, no help what so ever and you almost never get any emails or calls back when you have questions. I am ready to leave and find a company that actually takes care of their employees.
It definitely has its ups and downs. Very demanding.
Retail Store Manager in Greenville:
Pros: The opportunity to teach and train others
Cons: Work/life balance is the biggest opportunity within the company
