IKEA Reviews
What is it like working at IKEA?
Forklift Driver in Arlington:
IKEA is a great company. It is large and can offer GREAT benefits. They show care for their employees. When your managers are fair and care about their employees, it’s the best. The pay is higher than some certified positions elsewhere. The company begins the greatness, managers can add to or destroy it. I’ve had two of the very BEST and two, not very good.....
Retail Sales Associate in St Louis:
The management is very disorganized and disconnected. They'll put the burden of management on part-time co-workers, telling them to work the jobs of 5 people at a time (without paying them the same as those other workers) and then chastise them for any criticism. They'll have employees who've been there for 3-4 months train the brand new employees in the busiest of times, as if they have the experience. It might be a good company overall, but I would avoid Sales.
I always thought IKEA was an amazing place to work and recently been awakened to the fact that the manager and leads are what makes the true difference. Right now, I couldn’t be more unhappy.
Forklift Driver in Arlington:
Pros: Currently, pto, benefits, sick time.
Cons: My leads and manager
It has its good and bad days.
Maintenance Technician in Brooklyn:
Pros: Get to learn new things everyday
Cons: How management run the place, no fairness all across the board. Plus we all deverse a good decent pay
It's all LIES.
Customer Service Associate in Round Rock:
Pros: Accepting of LGBTQ workers.
Cons: Lack of employees means more work for you.
Company drags it feet when it comes to hiring new workers.
Managers like to play favorites.
Favorites can get away with not pulling there weight.
Managers act encouraging until you mess up, then they constantly remind that "any other manager would've fired you by now".
Office Administrator in Norfolk:
Pros: We have a fairly good group of people hired at our store
Cons: The service office puts way too many demands at the store level without enough pay
Includes boring repetitive tasks.
Visual Merchandiser in Hong Kong:
Pros: Peer at work
Cons: A lot of guidelines and restriction. Not much space for creativity.
