What is it like working at Accenture?
Operations Manager:
Pros: Work environment, job satisfaction,
Cons: Favoritism, office politics, less HR support.
Great Company to work with good infrastructure.
ERP Consultant:
Pros: Policy, work culture, flexibility to work on any location and domin.
Cons: Some of polices which does not required.
Senior Software Engineer:
Pros: Nice technology and good scope to learn.
Cons: Nothing much.
Healthy and positive work ambiance. And helping each others.
Accounting Associate:
Pros: Individual desk responsibilities. I am alone responsible regarding employee expense reimbursement.
Cons: Nothing such as. But less support from the client.
Subject Matter Expert.
Subject Analyst:
Pros: HR activities, client interaction, managing people, handling escalation, employee satisfaction.
Cons: Desk job, monotonous, back end job, face to face representation to either clients, employees nor customers.
Pay scale is good, but lot of corporate politics.
Senior Software Engineer:
Pros: They pay you well, good shift allowances/policies.
Brand name, company related policies are good.
Good opportunities for working abroad in support projects.
Fun activities is interesting.
You can grow and learn how to play corporate politics from the Managers .. ;)
Cons: In Accenture, 10 hrs of clocking per day (9 hrs logged) which is above the normal IT industry standard of 9 hrs.
I have been to only 1 support(L1/L2) project in Accenture, there is lot of corporate politics involved.
Unnecessary escalations from the Onshore team and the Offshore management is not capable of handling it.
Associate Manager manages team by bluffing individuals, promising them of better work but cannot deliver a thing. This also creates confusion among team members regarding their responsibilities.
Business processes and SAP system integration.
Consultant, Business Process / Management:
Pros: Work hours and in house facilities.
Learning Opportunities.
Cons: Very low payscale.
