Do you want this job?
Waste Water Plant Operator:
Think long and hard before you choose this career path. It is a rewarding job in knowing that you have a direct impact on the environment. The pay for this field sucks. I was told long ago to get my degree by someone I who didnt even know me, he said 'get your degree and you'll be able to further yourself both careerwise and financially', my boss on the other hand told me a degree wasnt necessary because an operators license would allow me to write my own ticket. Bullshit. Nobody wants to hire anyone without a degree, PERIOD! License or not, I have been declined for jobs where my license and experience outweighed what they were looking for. I was denied simply because I didnt have a degree. Go be a banker, their is more money in it.
