Pros: The only good thing I can say about my 9 years as a waitress is the friends I've made.
Cons: The terrible wage for the level of work I put into the job. Very often my hard work goes unrecognized and unrewarded.
The restaurant is often left understaffed so the workload put onto an individual is doubled, again without reward.
