Always Moving, Always Growing.
Team Leader, General in Indianapolis:
Pros: When appreciated to the full by management, the Starbucks mission allows for great growth opportunities. It is an excellent first job and the leadership model truly empowers each partner on a basis of evaluating and growing individual strengths. The company embraces individuality.
Cons: The environment is heavily dependent on the management. A store will run well or run poorly and partners will feel valued or undervalued bases on priorities of the store manager. Because management are the only salaried positions and capable of bonus depending on the success of the store, some managers can put their own desire for bonus over their partners, even though the Starbucks mission is to put partners first.
