Pros: People I work with, flexible schedule, ability to work both independently and with others.
Cons: Deadlines, responsibility, stress level.

Use Finite Element Analysis and Report Writing.
Structural Engineer:
Make sure you are familiar with theoretical concepts, are able to put these into practice and complement Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Writing clear report of work produced for others not familiar with your work to be able to understand is crucial.

Pros: Good corporate culture...except all the layoffs. Generally good group of people to work with.
Cons: Lots of really stupid procedures. Too many upper managers, and the pay is terrible.

Pros: I really enjoyed the people and the variety of projects. I never did the same thing twice.
Cons: The management was poor and they failed to develop young engineers properly.
