Strategic Partnership Manager in Trenton:
Pros: I like working with a wide variety of people to help them reach their sustainability, environmental, social justice goals. I enjoy the creative problem solving opportunities and marketing experiences. The office culture is very open and casual with lots of room for upward mobility.
Cons: The company is still small and rapidly growing. This means that each employee has to take on a lot of responsibility and be able to handle high levels of stress. There is no clear delineation of responsibility. Additionally, you have to work with every department and maneuver a lot of red tape to see things accomplished. Since I am the once dealing with the external client, I also have to be the one to break the bad news if another department messes up.
August 2017
Lovely city.
Strategic Partnership Manager in Kuala Lumpur:
Pros: Always summer, low cost of living.
Cons: Gender bias, occasional racism, toxic work culture in predominantly local companies. Companies which hire international talent (like Mindvalley) aren't like that, but that's a minority.
