Stationary Engineer or Boiler Operator Reviews

What is it like working as a Stationary Engineer or Boiler Operator?

July 2019
Stationary Engineer or Boiler Operator in Cleveland:
Very nice employer, works with employees very well. Over all working atmosphere is positive. Pay is the weakest but overall trend is going up. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and 401k. Overall I give it a B+
June 2019
Stationary Engineer or Boiler Operator in Brookhaven:
Under compensated in all areas relative to surrounding area, micro managed by people inexperienced in steam management. Lack of reward/acknowledgement of job well done, nepotism runs rampant while lack of qualified employees drives unhealthily work environment.
April 2019
Stationary Engineer or Boiler Operator in Tempe:
Arizona State University classified staff have long been(decades) in need of market adjustments to pay, department Managers and Human Resources have long been restricting pay and/or advancement while continuing to annually change the job description to require expectations that anywhere else in the county pays >$5.00 minimum more to start. Pay increases do not keep up with the rate of inflation ever! However some of the benefits are competitive with the market.
