What you learn in college is not what you do on the job.

I don't feel like any of what I learned from school was what I actually did coming into my position. I found more value in the PHR certification where I had to take an exam after doing a lot of studying in some of the key areas of HR.
School might provide you with the legal knowledge within HR but most of the other stuff I learned on the job.
