What is it like working as a Secretary?

Secretary:
Pros: The customers, the paperwork, being able to bring solution to any situation.
Cons: The sales manager, the disrespect of his actions towards customers and other employees, always having to clean up the mess this person makes in customers. Very stressful environment, lack of communication from upper management, feeling of always having to defend myself.

Life of a secretary.
Secretary:
Pros: I love that I have set perimeters for each day its my routine I know what to semi expect so I none the less do my job correct, my co-workers are a delight its never a dull moment with them. My boss is a great boss and is extremely understanding! I can honestly say this is the best job I have had yet!
Cons: The fact that I only make 11.50 and would like to make 16.99 that's the only con I have thus far.

Maintain compliance folders for campus ADN Program, Monitor expenditures and budgets, Maintain an effective working relationship with college personnel, students and the community, Handle telephone calls in an effective and professional manner, Arrange for transportation, reservations, and lodging requirements, Prepare specifications for quotes and bid tabulations as required, Supervise and schedule student worker, Compile & maintain data for state reports and accreditation reports, Maintain inventory for major and minor equipment, Develop and maintain Access databases and Excel spreadsheets. Input student data and program data into BANNER, Build courses in Banner for eight programs across four campuses.
Teach Continuing Education courses on computer hardware, peripherals and software.

Somewhat stressful job.
Secretary:
Pros: I like that the phone isn't always wringing. I also like that my manager is very comprehensive and very flexible with my hours.
Cons: I feel like they are putting me to do personal assistant jobs when all I am to the company is there secretary. I don't get payed enough and don't get payed vacations.
