What is it like working as a Secretary?
August 2017
Seek higher learning.

Make sure this is the type of job you really want. Learn how to cope with the public. Customer service, time management skills and confidentiality is very important. Seek out training offered to increase skill set and knowledge of job(s).
Set career goals for position.
Forge ahead.
July 2017
Stable Career.
Secretary in Johannesburg:
Pros: Everything is centralised. Commute to work and home isn't too bad, although I would like to move closer to work but cannot afford to move.
Shops are easily accessible.
Cons: Bad drivers, everyone is on a rush state and no respect for others on the road. Whether it be drivers or pedestrians. Hardly anyone has common sense or obey the law.
Traffic lights that continuously do not work after it rains. Roads are not maintained. Potholes are left unattended too for months on end.
Everything increases in price. Cost of Living is becoming almost unattainable. Where our salaries do not increase enough, or not at all to combat inflation and high price of goods and services.
Services to consumers are almost non-existant. People dont understand what it means for customer satisfaction.
