October 2015
Challenging and Rewarding.
Sales Operations Coordinator:
Pros: I can target any company that makes strategic sense, approach them and see where it may lead. Whilst my focus is the building industry any company that wants to increase market share in the Building Industry can be involved. The companies who get involved with us need leadership, advice and human insight so this encourages me to remain at the top of my game knowing what the trends and essentials are of good business practice in my industry.
Cons: That I am the only person building sales for the company and no one else seems to want to have any involvement in the micro or macro of such an important part of the company.
September 2015
Fast-paced & challenging, can be very rewarding.
Sales Operations Coordinator:
Pros: I like that there is some variety in my day to day and ongoing projects; from reporting on revenue and operations metrics to helping the sales team achieve their quarterly goals, to liaising with almost all executives and departments within the company for special initiatives, I never get bored in this role. There is a high degree of responsibility and many people across the company rely on my knowledge and assistance in various subjects.
Cons: This is technically an entry level role, but in my individual experience, our department is small and we recently lost our operations manager and replaced the role with a director. This means that I get paid the absolute minimum while my responsibilities have grown exponentially to fill the void of not having a manager. The VP of sales relies heavily on my work and it can be a lot of pressure that doesn't feel justified by the low compensation. Even though I enjoy the work, the risk of burnout is high.
January 2015
I finalise events.
Sales Operations Coordinator:
Pros: I get to be part of peoples special events.
Cons: It can be stressful..details go wrong.
