Retail Store Manager Reviews

What is it like working as a Retail Store Manager?

September 2020
Over worked.
Retail Store Manager in Windsor:
Pros: I like everything except the hours
Cons: I am always working. If I’m not at work I’m taking calls from my store or answering my boss in a group or individual message. I feel like I can’t make plans because the payroll is so tight that you only schedule 1 or 2 people so if someone doesn’t show or calls in I’m either going in or spending my time on the phone getting it covered. There is a huge training gap that doesn’t allow proper training that leads yo management working more. When you hire someone there is no training hours so it is on the fly and your cutting hours of experienced employees to get training in. In return your working harder because it’s you and a trainee and the person you cut is now looking for another job because they need the hours as well
